All CLA and VLA product purchases are calculated using Novell's Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price ("MSRP"). This is separate from the price you actually pay. Purchases of any new, upgrade, and/or competitive upgrade, Upgrade Protection, and Premium Service Novell products all apply toward meeting the VLA/CLA purchase requirements.

Customers qualify for VLA discounts with an initial purchase of $10,000. (Higher initial purchases grant better discount levels.) You many then purchase any Novell product at that discount level for a two-year period.

The CLA program requires an initial buy-in of $25,000 (again, at MSRP), paired with a written two-year purchasing forecast. (The total of the initial purchase and forecast determines your CLA discount level, allowing you to take advantage of maximum discount levels today based on planned future purchases.) The initial purchase and two-year forecast must total at least $100,000. (E. G., a $25,000 initial order paired with a $75,000 two-year forecast.) Subsequent CLA order can be placed for as little as $500 MSRP.
