While we frequently work with special-purpose hardware and software vendors for a given industry, the core hardware, software, and services that comprise one of our networks are chosen from a short list. That list includes vendors who not only provide reliable products, but who are easy for you and us to work with on support issues, especially during network outages. We only utilize hardware which we know is certified for the network operating system you've chosen. That hardware must also have been designed for 7x24 operation over a three-year period. The hardware must be supported by the manufacturer directly, on the customer's choice of a 9-to-5 or 7x24 basis with 4-hour onsite response. The software we choose for your network is just as crucial to our success as the hardware. We avoid many leading-edge applications which have known reliability problems, or undesirable interactions with other products. We can tell you the difference in performance, price, and reliability of competing software platforms and products, and provide real-world examples from our client base, including putting you in touch with other customers who use or have used products you're considering. We constantly refine our list of recommended hardware and software solutions, rewarding the manufacturers and vendors who provide the best long-term support, to ensure your network runs reliably for many years. |
