I got my start illustrating with
air-brushes, pen and ink, pencils, paint, watercolors, and pastels.
These traditional tools will be with us for some time to come.
Computers still cant match the effect of thickly applied
paint, or the gestural look of a pencil rendering. But, to be
honest, most of my paints and inks are completely dried up, though
Ive recently started painting a series of large compositions
in my spare time (what little I have!).
The artwork displayed here was
created in applications like Strata StudioPro, Autodessys form-Z,
Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and others.
The 3D models can achieve startlingly
real effects. This is an area Ive been working in since
1994. Some projects include an interactive CD-ROM and 3D modeling
used in web-pages for Cisco Systems, Inc, Ive also used
Adobe Photoshop for numerous photo-collages for Radius, Applied
Materials, Philips Electronics, and others.
Other illustrations meant for
use on the Internet are available in the Web-Sites
section. Please visit there as well.

The Art of Networked Multimedia. This was an interactive
CD-ROM using an imaginary art gallery to highlight Ciscos
technology. Included are the art
gallery exterior, the lobby
sculpture with QuickTime movie, a typical
exhibit room, the Cisco
Gallery, with a highlight to indicate selection, and
a lecture
hall, with QuickTime movie on a monitor and a slide show
on the projection screen (Strata StudioPro).
- Models of Ciscos exhibit
booth as linked on the Ziff-Davis and Cisco web pages for the
NetWorld and Interop 95 trade show. Shown are the exhibit
booth, the switching
wall, and the enterprise
wall . Image maps were used as buttons on all these
images for navigation through displays of Cisco technology.
- Cisco Business Planning web-site graphics. Due to their nature I felt these belonged
here instead of in the Web Publishing section.
Digital Illustration:
- Bell Sports Jammer
roller hockey helmet packaging
illustration (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop).
- Apple Macintosh
128K drawn for 10th anniversary poster (Adobe Illustrator).
