ASAR stands for alt.sexual.abuse.recovery. This is not a site sending spam, but a newsgroup receiving it. I could not think of a group less appropriate to receive spam (the bulk of which is pornographic) than alt.sexual.abuse.recovery, so I have added it to the watch list.
The regulars in a.s.a.r were vehemently opposed to censorship, to the extent that they asked spam cancellers to stop canceling spam in the group. Within two days, the group was nearly flooded out of existence by porn spam, and many of the group members left. The group has since reconsidered its stance on spam cancelling.
In the past, the worst offenders have been Earthlink, Bell Atlantic, Superlink, Uunet, Ndi, BellSouth, Seidata, Crl, Netzilla and Magg. Most sites have dealt with the problem.
At present, the worst offenders are MCI, ServTech and Comsec
