Before I realised that Netzilla/Sexzilla were rogue sites, I was e-mailing my spam complaints to postmaster@netzilla.com. Here is the responce from Jerry: Received: from sexzilla.com (sexzilla.com [205.198.56.62]) by mail5 (8.6.13/Netcom) id PAA06229; Fri, 20 Dec 1996 15:40:26 -0800 Received: from [207.70.214.2] by sexzilla.com with ESMTP (Apple Internet Mail Server 2.0a8); Fri, 20 Dec 1996 17:40:31 -0600 Date: Fri, 20 Dec 1996 17:41:48 -0600 To: howardk@netcom.com (Howard Knight) From: Jerry Subject: Re: Alert: Your Site is Being Abused! Thanks howard, we will look into it!! Jerry After looking at more spam, doing 'whois', nslookup, traceroute, etc., I came to the conclusion that Netzilla is a rogue site. So, I started sending my complaints to CORPCOMM.NET (internet and news feed for netzilla/sexzilla) directly. No responce from them yet, by the way. As you may have seen in my "Netzilla's Got A Lot of F___ing Nerve!" post, Jerry tacked this sig onto all of the spam articles in his last spam wave: ===================================================================== The originators of this material feel that it is appropriate for this newsgroup. Obviously when a million people see a post, there will always be a few that are IMMATURE enough to take offense! If you are one of the these select few to take offense than please accept our sincere apology that you were offended by something so frivolous as this simple post. We suggest that you filter out "netzilla" with your news client. If you do this you will never see our post again. You can direct your questions to: zed@netzilla.com Hey Jerry, since when was spamming the shit out of the newsgroups appropriate? Anyway, I forwarded a copy of the "Netzilla's Got A Lot of F___ing Nerve!" article to Jerry. Here was his responce (grrrrrrrr): From: postmaster@netzilla.net Date: Mon, 23 Dec 1996 22:41:27 -0800 (PST) To: howardk@netcom.com Subject: RE: netzilla Hello Howard, If you have a problem with viewing our post, then why don't you take our advice and ad "netzilla" to your kill file in your news client. If you do not do that then it seems to me that all you want to do is complain, and don't want to take the appropriate steps to filter out unwanted post in your news client. Our posts are posted only in the appropriate newsgroup(s). Thousands of people everyday appreciate our posts, visit our sites and enjoy what we offer. This is evident by the many compliments we receive. There are always a select few like yourself who rant and rave about something as simple as a usenet post. Like we said before, If it bothers you that bad then kill the post with your client and forget about it. Let everyone on the internet decide for them selves what they want and don't want to read. Don't decide for them. Remember this is The United States of America, where everyone has the right to make their own decesions. Yours truly Jerry I invite you to do a DejaNews search to find out just how appropriate Jerry's postings are. He uses different e-mail addresses but in the last spam wave, all of the spams were from: From: news.netzilla.net@netzilla.net (news.netzilla.net) Anybody out there have info on CORPCOMM.NET and their dealings in all of this? I don't think I've ever received one responce from them. Howard
