A:	Tom Saylor (a.k.a. Ursula Major) and his associates are currently one of the most notorious Usenet (the newsgroups) spamming operations. It is common for this organization to flood the adult newsgroups with ads for Mr. Saylor's adult sites. Q:	Why are these people picking on me? I never did anything to them!
A:	Mr. Saylor and his associates haphazardly pick domain names and usernames for their ads with out regard to the fact that they are legitimate. Do not take it personally. Basically, they do not care who they victimize. They have been doing this for quite a while now, and there is no reason to believe that they will change this behavior. That is why it is important for you to act.
Q:	Is there any way to stop these people from violating my email address and/or domain name?
A:	Yes. Mr. Saylor receives his bandwidth connectivity from Cavecreek Wholesale Internet Exchange (CWIE) LLC (CWIE.NET/CAVECREEK.COM) in Phoenix, AZ. Cavecreek in turn, gets connectivity from Level 3 Communications, Inc. (LEVEL3.NET) in Broomfield, CO. Cavecreek is notoriously unresponsive regarding complaints about its customers who spam the newsgroups. However, Level 3's policy forbids its customers from spamming and transmitting fraudulent information. Here is an excerpt from their acceptable use policy (  http://www.level3.com/us/misc/acceptableuse  ): "USENET Postings All postings to USENET groups must comply with that group's charter and other policies. Users are prohibited from cross posting to unrelated news groups or to any news groups where the post does not meet that group's charter. Continued posting of off-topic messages, including commercial messages (unless specifically invited by charter), is prohibited. Spoofing/Fraud A User may not attempt to send e-mail messages or transmit any electronic communications using a name or address of someone other than the User for purposes of deception. Any attempt to impersonate someone else by altering a source IP address information or by using forged headers or other identifying information is prohibited. Any attempt to fraudulently conceal, forge, or otherwise falsify a User's identity in connection with use of the Service is prohibited." Make sure to send a letter of complaint to Cavecreek, and Level 3. Include a copy of the newsgroup posting (make sure to include all of the headers) in your complaint.
