Section 1: Today we issued ticket numbers 303867 to 308219 Section 2: Tickets were sorted by alleged perpetrator. Section 3: A great number of reports referred to "nyc3.da.uu.net", which is not a user name. These spurious reports have been purged. Section 4: Tickets were sorted by ticket number, ignoring the least significant digit to promote complaint diversity. Section 5: A great number of reports referred to "dfw2.da.uu.net", which is not a user name. These spurious reports have been purged. Section 6: A preliminary interim report consisting of sections 1 to 5 was generated. A meeting was called for comments on the structure of the report. Section 7: Tickets were sorted by originating remote backbone provider with a GMT adjustment subsort (in reverse order for clarity). Section 8: A great number of reports referred to "sf0.da.uu.net", which is not a user name. These spurious reports have been purged. Section 9: A correlation study of purged complaints disclosed an uncanny similarity in the content of the messages, which is beyond the scope of this investigation. Section 10: The few remaining valid reports did not discuss any new activity that we weren't already aware of. Section 11: A preliminary report covering sections 7-10 was generated. A meeting was called to resolve procedural conflicts and scrivener's errors between the original interim report and the revised updated partial interim report (pending) to see if the two documents could be harmonized and reduced to an Interim Pending Final Report for submission to senior management. There was much discussion about the missing-section-6, which was not specifically addressed in either of the interim preliminary pending ad hoc reports, much to the dismay of the report generator. ----------------------- I'd be busy all day making this report! -- George Crissman -- strads@tmisnet.com No wonder I'm unemployed. ;-) Search The Internet Using Over 20 Different Engines!
