The business section of March 30, 1998 LA Times has covered the
Earthlink/Cyberpromo settlement.  Here a some juicy excerpts:

"The judgement is also expected to prohibit CyberPromotions and its
founder, Sanford Wallace, from targeting EarthLink subscribers with
spam or engaging in a number of other spam-related activities"

"In recent interviews, Wallace has said that he has been 'beaten into
submission' by the legal wrangling and may leave the spam business."

"Wellborn acknowledged that EarthLink doesn't expect to collect the $2
million, but it said it represents an 'insurance policy' against
further offenses."

"Wallace is also obligated to write an apology to EarthLink and its
members."

So what will happen with GTMI now?  Are they pages just the last
twitching of a dead carcass?  Has anyone sent a copy of the Wynerpromo
page to EarthLink?  How many times can he sell his wife to pay for the
judgements against him?
