As convention staff, during that time, I have worked as Gofer, Gofer Lieutenant, Registration, Convention Operations and Dealers Room Liaison. As SF conventions are run by volunteers, I have had to learn how to deal diplomatically with volunteer staff who can disappear on you at any time.
