Mission

The Horvitz Foundation seeks to enhance the quality of life through supporting focused programs in research, education, and the creative application of the arts and sciences. The underlying principles center on an optimism and passion for continuing to enrich the quality of the life of the individual and of civilization through leveraging intelligence, creativity, and compassion.

Programs

The five areas of concentration are:

• Program in Children

• Program in Education

• Program in Technology, Society, and the Environment

• Program in Science

• Program in the Arts

Proposals are invited in each of the areas. The Board of Directors of the Horvitz Foundation meet semi-annually to review proposals. Please contact the foundation office for additional information about the constellation of interests represented by the specific programs.
