Artist Profile

Music is in her blood

Anna lives the song and feels the music. Her soulful song writing, rich voice and charismatic stage presence have been influenced by her classical training, musical theatre, touring experience and talented family background.

Anna's life has been filled with musical adventure! One of her first big breaks came when she was invited to tour Europe and the US with Mary Wilson and the Supremes throughout Europe and The US. she felt an instant rapport with the gospel music and her unique song writing talent blossomed.

Anna's songs come straight from the heart. Her song writing blends her musical roots into tales of love, sorrow and the in congruencies of life. The songs reflect the girl she grew from, the woman she is now and the person she longs to become. Her songs touch her audience because they are filled with the feelings and frustrations we all share.

The end result is a sound that is distinctive and enriching. Her music has been described as "folk based pop with a lot of soul". On stage her songs are accented by her smooth delivery and passion.

Anna received formal training at Grant MacEwan College, graduating from the Vocal Performance Program. She has also participated in many local and international musical theatre and jazz workshops. She was the winner of the 96 K-LITE Star Trax competition and has the CD, Rise Above, and music video, Forever Yours, to her credit.

anna continues to master her craft through experiencing life, teaching and sharing her interpretations with her audiences.
