Bonnie Barnard
Bonnie Barnard, a native Texan, was first taught country, bluegrass and western
swing music by her father, musician and songwriter Joe Dale Barnard. By age 8,
she was playing guitar, harmonica, banjo, piano and composing music. Later musical
education included music theory, guitar studies, private music and voice lessons
and classical opera training. Her musical inspiration was drawn from such diverse
artists as Woody Guthrie, Neil Young, Marty Robbins, Lou Reed, Hank Williams,
Bob Dylan, The Who, The Ramones, Bob Marley and Jerry Jeff Walker.
