Julie Larson
Julie Larson is one of those artists whose performance, once experienced, just
keeps running through your brain. Her quiet presentation and simple, straightforward
songwriting draw you in and hold you. Then you realize that the veneer of simplicity
belies the depth and complexity of her work - and its irresistibility. An 11
year San Francisco bay-area singer/songwriter, Julie has honed her craft on
the stages of the Bay Area's icon venues: San Francisco's Sacred Grounds Cafe
and the Mad Dog in the Fog, Berkeleys Freight and Salvage and the Starry Plough,
and the classic rooms where the music matters more than any current fad.
She's one of those omni-instumentalists, whose proficiency with rhythm guitar,
mandolin, flute, banjo, and tenor sax - as well as her compelling vocals - never
disappoints her audience. Often combined with a surprising array of side players,
Julie Larson "live" is an experience in acoustic blues, folk, and
rock that keeps winning her new fans.
