Suki Rae
A native
Chicagoan, flutist singer/songwriter Suki Rae has been playing music since the
age of five. A classically trained flutist, she has an MA in Music/Film and has
been performing internationally for the last twenty years. Awards include: the
only American finalist in te Hoeillart Jazz Festival in Belgium, ASCAP Awards
since 1994, American Song Festival, Nashville Song Festival and nominations
for NAR AWARDS and Just Plain Folks Awards Festivals.
She has been a musician in residence at: Cornell University, th
Hilai Colony in Mitzpe Ramon and Ma'Alot Tarshiha Israel, the Arad
Arts Project in Arad Israel, in the Wurlitzer Foundation in Taos
New Mexico and in Fundcion Valparaiso in Mojacar Spain. In April
2003 one of her children's songs was published in "Music Box and
Other Delights." She has also acted, directed and writeen for theatre
and films as well as appearing on radio and TV.
Her recordings include Pipedreams, Water and Frie, Cantique de
Noel, I Think of You and My Bamboo Hat all of which she produced
on Reverence for Life Records. All her recordings contain original
music except Cantique de Noel which is Christmas Music.
