As in Guangdong province, rice is the primary crop in Guanxi province.  The karst is getting taller and thicker as we head west along the He River.  This town is near Zhongshan.

While motor scooters are becoming popular in southern Chinese cities, bicycles are still very popular in rural areas.  Chinese one speed bikes are remarkably versatile.  These girls had to push a little to get up this unpaved hill, but had no trouble riding down.

In rural China, you often don't have much choice of where to eat.  Some of these street noodle shops are pretty good, though.  This one is in Xingping, near Yangshuo.
