Palo Alto, California

Palo Alto is located on the San Francisco peninsula, about half way between San Francisco and San Jose. Palo Alto is the northernmost city in Santa Clara County (popularly known as Silicon Valley).

Much of the Stanford University campus is located in Palo Alto and many Silicon Valley companies were founded by Stanford graduates.
Palo Alto has a very mild climate with average summer daytime temperatures in the 70s and winter daytime temperatures often reaching 60F. Every few years, the Palo Alto hills do get some snow. Here are some pictures from the "storm of 2002" :)
