Microsoft glossaries are currently available in the following languages:
Glossaries are contained in separate .ZIP files identified by language/country name. The compressed files cover various Microsoft applications and systems, not just the simple subset found in the Microsoft GUI Guide. The files are comma-delimited ANSI files that should be readable by most software products.
Microsoft glossaries can be downloaded from the Microsoft FTP site as described below.
NOTE: If you have trouble downloading the glossaries using ftp through your browser, please try a separate ftp application. You may wish to try WinLexic, a tool that provides a GUI for the Microsoft glossaries as well as a built-in FTP client for easy downloading. Note that WinLexic is sold by AIT Software and is not affiliated with Microsoft. Index.txt in each of these locations describes the files.
Please send us your feedback, comments, and suggestions on the distribution scheme. You can direct your comments to Ursula Schwalbach, Lead Terminologist (ursulasc@microsoft.com)
