Shape N Race Derby, Pinewood Derby, Kub Kar Rally—whatever you call it, a derby is a lot of fun, and it's a great opportunity for learning and for making memories.
My Shape N Race Derby page contains information for derby participants and organizers alike, whether they're involved with CSB's Shape N Race Derby, CSB's Shape N Sail Derby, or any similar event (e.g., the Boy Scouts' Pinewood Derby or Pioneer Clubs' Sailboat Race). Highlights include photos of unusual derby cars, both design tips and speed tips, track plans, and derby resources.
Small teams of youth compete against each other in an assortment of events that test their teamwork and outdoor skills. At the end of the day, awards are presented based on each team's overall performance.

Advent is a celebration of Christ's advent—that is, of Christ's coming into the world. Advent begins four Sundays before Christmas, and culminates with the celebration of Christmas itself. I have also included an abbreviated Advent celebration that I use when I introduce others to Advent.
