
David Montgomery received his undergraduate education from the University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and his Master's and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. He is currently a professor of exercise physiology at McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
Dr. Montgomery is the Director of the Seagram Sports Science Centre. For 22 years, David has worked with graduate students to examine the effects of aerobic and anaerobic training on enhancement of sport performance.
His athletic endeavors have included the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon, 100-mile ski trips, track, football, orienteering, and ice hockey. His hobbies are family genealogy and personal fitness.
