Along the Road to Hana (Mile 10) is  The Garden of Eden, a private botanical garden with "native" species. Of course, very few plants on Maui are really native, and no serious attempt is made to identify the origins of the plants.  A beatiful place nevertheless.  We missed the Kahanu National Botanical Garden, also along this rainforest region of East Maui.
